about

GHOST ON THE COAST is an album of music I created and tinkered with between 2014-2021. 11 chill, psychedelic, liminal, and contemplative instrumental tracks.

2021 was a year of many transitions in my life. The theme of the album is leaving behind a ghost of who I thought I was and how I thought life would turn out. The tracks I selected not only had a common thread in their moods but also represent milestones in my evolution as a self-taught, DIY producer.

The opening track “Soul Groove” was the earliest produced, and one I had forgotten and found on an old hard drive during the lockdown. The mix and master you hear is as it was when I made a test bounce in the Fall of 2014. Other tracks like “We’re All Doomed, So Let’s Party” and “Monkey Claw” are my attempts at creating environments and stories with instrumental music. I hope you enjoy listening to the album tell a story of change, growth, pain, contemplation, grief, and ultimately optimism. Also fuck bigots, homophobes, transphobes, racists, misogynists, and billionaires.
